2D tiled are, 3D object space shooter for cell phones. Pushed the limits of tech at the time, using 4444 bit art, and over 60fps (later artificially reduced to overcome 30fps frame limit on some phones). 4 tile layers, hundreds of sprites, alpha blending and other visual effects. 12MB download size (compressed). Used 4 timers on S60, all operating at the same frequency and start/fire time to overcome S60 limitation of "threading" (severely faked). Custom 2D, 3D and 4444 to 8888 blitters. |
